Amazon May Be Adding New Alexa-connected Devices to the Mix

Alexa spreads to More Amazon Devices

Amazon plans to release two new Fire TV devices, according to AFTVnews. One is a dongle similar to Google Chromecast, and the other is cube-shaped and much less flat that normal set-top boxes.

Amazon plans to release the new models sometime in the next few months. According to AFTVnews the device will only have an HDMI port and a microUSB port for power, but it will still support 4K and HDR content.

The star of the show is obviously the addition of Alexa to more of Amazon’s family of devices. Amazon’s high-end Fire TV device will feature far-field microphones and an integrated speaker, according to AFTVnews.
