Today, Xiaomi launched its new lineup of laptops. The Mi Notebook Pro is one of the earliest notebooks to be powered by Intel’s 8th generation i7 processor. Additionally, the 15-inch notebook has dual channel RAM up to 16GB and storage up to 1TB SSD, along with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card.
The Mi Notebook’s design has a clean, minimal design and come in a dark gray shade, which looks similar to many recent laptop launches. Lei Jun, a Xiaomi spokesperson even went so far as to say, “many of the engineers in my company love MacBook Pro, that’s why we looked at MacBook Pro when we designed Mi Notebook Pro.”
The Mi Notebook Pro includes a fingerprint sensor in the trackpad, a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display and very narrow side bezels of just 6.25 mm. For connectivity, Mi Notebook Pro has an SD card slot, two USB Type-C ports, a HDMI port, and a headphone jack.
It’s clear Xiaomi is getting the jump on Apple’s inevitable upgrade reveal at tomorrow’s apple event.
